Are you at least 18 years of age, out of high school, dependable, prompt, interested in others, and have a willingness to relate to others? Volunteers need to be compassionate, respectful of confidentiality, flexible, friendly, and patient. Plus, a good sense of humor is a wonderful asset.

There is a 7-hour Tutor Training Program, which is conducted on one Saturday. Tutors and students meet twice a week for 1.5 hours each session. Tutors should allocate an additional two hours per week for lesson preparation and travel time. The two lessons should be spaced throughout the week to allow the student time to review what was learned and to complete homework assignments.
